Kyle Whelchel

I'm an account executive with Leavitt Group of Portland, helping businesses navigate commercial insurance with confidence. I consult clients on their insurance programs, advise them on market changes, advocate during claims, and help protect what matters most.

Before joining Leavitt Group, I spent 10 years at a large insurance brokerage, where I worked as an account manager. I made the move to Leavitt because I wanted to work more closely with local small and middle-market businesses and build stronger, hands-on relationships.
I'm known for being highly responsive and always available when my clients need me. I take pride in building lasting relationships and helping business owners make informed insurance decisions.

I graduated from Oregon State University with degrees in finance and statistics and am licensed in more than 10 states. I'm also a member of the Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Specialty Food Association.

Outside of work, I coach wrestling and jiu-jitsu, compete as an MMA fighter, and enjoy fishing and exploring the outdoors with my wife. We especially love spending time on the Oregon coast in Garibaldi, clamming and fishing whenever we can.
