Kylan Hornbuckle

I serve as a risk advisor, helping individuals and businesses identify gaps in their coverage and ensure they’re properly protected. I enjoy learning about their businesses, their goals, and the unique risks they face.

My path to insurance was shaped by my background as a student-athlete. I played college baseball at Carson-Newman University, where I also earned my master’s degree in just four years. That experience taught me discipline, preparation, communication, and the value of teamwork. I was drawn to this industry because it allows me to build meaningful relationships, solve problems, and help people protect what they’ve worked hard to achieve.

What I enjoy most about my work is getting to know people beyond the surface. I like understanding their “why” — what drives them, what motivates them, and what they’re passionate about. Insurance is ultimately about people, and I focus on building trust, learning each client’s story, and helping them feel confident about their future.

When I’m not working, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors. Whether I’m traveling, fishing, hiking, golfing, hunting, working out, or spending time with friends and family, I love disconnecting from distractions (especially social media) and being present with the people and experiences that matter most.
