Ian Boulton

Ian started in the insurance industry in 1981, joining his family’s agency in Miami, Florida, after graduating from Florida State University. After several years' training in personal insurance, he moved to the Boca Raton, then to the Coral Springs branch offices, where his primary responsibility was developing new business and servicing select accounts.

Ian continued in the agency until 1991, when he left South Florida to travel and wound up on San Juan Island in the spring of 1992. After a break from the insurance business, he joined Islanders Insurance in 2004 and liked being in a smaller, more casual office environment.

Ian enjoys working with people — helping them design an insurance program that is appropriate to their individual situations. In his free time, he enjoys fitness activities like day hiking and cycling, playing the guitar, and traveling with his wife, Laura.
