About Mike
I am a business insurance and employee benefits advisor at Leavitt Group Northwest. I provide insurance and employee benefits to a wide array of businesses in the Northwest, including contractors, distributors, dealerships, auto repair shops, property managers, restaurants, and transportation.
I started my insurance career in 2011 with Sentry Insurance, selling commercial insurance, employee benefits, life insurance, and 401k plans. In 2017, I joined HBT Insurance, which ultimately merged with Leavitt Group in 2018. Leavitt Group is a great fit for me personally and for my career. I value the company’s investment in their employees and the community, their relationship with carriers, their vast reach of negotiating ability, and the resources they provide to clients.
As part of Leavitt Group Northwest, I enjoy being part of a company that is local, cares about their community and employees, and fosters a positive work environment. Through Leavitt Group, I can provide my clients with competitive coverage, service, and pricing, along with industry-leading claims support through our in-house claims department.

I believe people buy from people they trust. I adopted the mindset very early in my insurance career that doing the right thing, being honest, and working hard will take me very far in my career. Granted, there is so much more that goes into being successful, but doing the right thing by my clients is extremely important. "Doing the right thing" involves being honest, providing timely service, offering comprehensive coverage at fair pricing, and being there for my clients when there is a claim.
I belong to Business Networking International and the Roofing Contractors Association of Washington. I graduated from Oregon State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in business marketing. I plan to earn the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation in 2021.
After growing up in Vancouver, Washington, I met my wife while attending Oregon State University. We have been married since 2012 and have two amazing, fun, and busy children – our son, Trey, was born in 2017 and our daughter, Mia, was born in 2020. We live in Gig Harbor. We enjoy spending time outside, golfing, going to the park, concerts, water sports, snowboarding, and vacationing.
