Alex Miller

I joined Leavitt Pacific Insurance Brokers in 2014 and I lead the development and delivery of comprehensive risk control services with a primary focus on workers’ compensation. In this role, I partner with our client’s upper management, and assist them to develop long-term risk management strategies that will reduce workplace injuries, control loss costs, and support our long-term risk management strategies across a wide range of industries. 

I am a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and have an Associate of Risk Management (ARM) from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. I’m also a certified Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. 

I began my safety career in 1992 as a Safety Specialist with a large heavy construction company in California’s Central Valley and quickly became a Safety Division Manager, leading a team of safety professionals that oversaw safety operations for multiple construction divisions.  I then transitioned to the insurance industry as the Safety Services Manager for a large insurance broker managing captive insurance clients. In that role, I managed safety services for multiple captive programs, collaborated with captive management teams, conducted risk control evaluations, and regularly presented at large-scale safety seminars and board and committee meetings.

I grew up in a small town in Northern California, and I now own a few acres of land in the Oakdale/Escalon area where my grown son and granddaughter enjoy spending time with my wife’s horses and other animals.  My hobbies are music, building guitars, and I enjoy time on the water.
