Shayla Hughes

Shayla is a farm and agribusiness account manager and commercial account manager at Woodruff Leavitt Insurance. Growing up in a multi-generational farming family in Buckeye, Arizona, gave her firsthand insight into the unique challenges and opportunities that come with agricultural operations.

Before entering the insurance industry, Shayla worked in general contracting, where she gained valuable experience with construction and subcontractor businesses. Today, she combines that background with her commercial insurance knowledge and is pursuing her Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) designation. She is passionate about helping farm, agribusiness, and commercial clients find coverage solutions tailored to their operations and goals.

Outside of work, Shayla enjoys camping throughout Northern Arizona, taking beach getaways, gardening (especially growing tomatoes), reading fantasy novels, and spending time with her husband and two children.
