The passing of Janie Ferguson has been felt deeply in the Minden/Gardnerville area, as well as in the Leavitt Group community. Janie began her career with Leavitt Group as an account executive in the 1980s and went on to start Ferguson-Leavitt from scratch. The agency is now thriving, due in large part to Janie’s excellent customer retention rates. Under Janie’s able leadership, Ferguson-Leavitt has been a perennial recipient of the Agency Excellence Award and, in recent years, was a recipient of the Agency of the Year Award at Leavitt Group.

Stepping into Janie’s shoes, we welcome Todd Medel. Todd began his insurance career in 1989 and has been with Leavitt United Insurance Services since 2016. He is appointed in Accident and Health, Life, Property, and Casualty lines and specializes in commercial insurance. He has considerable experience working with manufacturing, distribution, and agriculture industries. Todd is excited to make his home in Minden and to get to know our clients.
