Kristi Smith

I've been in the insurance industry since 2011. My older brother is part of Leavitt Group – he thought I’d be a good fit, so he invited me to become part of the team. Now it is 10 years later and the whole Leavitt Group feels like family. I sure love what I do!

I focus on commercial insurance focusing on small business and agriculture-related businesses, including farms, ranches, feed stores, elevators, and related fields. I also focus on small to mid-size main street businesses. I have earned the Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) designation.

I enjoy getting to know people and building relationships with the businesses in my community. I have a quick turn around and maintain good communication with my clients and those with whom I work. I am a very self-motivated, efficient, honest, and up-front.

Before I started in the insurance industry, I worked on our family farm and was busy raising my babies.

I was born in Bunkerville, Nevada, and then moved to Cortez, Colorado, where I grew up and still live. I attended Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah. I am married to a wonderful man, Clay, and have twin boys who keep me busy. I love to watch my boys participate in all their activities, including 4-H and sports. When I am not chasing them around, we enjoy camping, shooting, and 4-wheeling as often as we can. I also enjoy crafting.
