Being part of the community is a cornerstone of who we are. We don’t just insure the businesses and families that make Montana strong; we are them too. Our team lives, works, and serves right here in Billings and the surrounding communities, and that shared connection drives us to give back wherever we can.
A Day of Teamwork and Service
During our volunteer day, team members helped clean and rake around the Otter Habitat and the Dell Nature Trail, tackling one of the zoo’s larger seasonal cleanup projects. The work was hands-on, collaborative, and rewarding, serving as a reminder that teamwork extends far beyond our office walls.
“Your efforts here on your Volunteer Day not only helped beautify the zoo but helped us keep up with the tremendous onsite workload,” shared Loran Salsbury, Volunteer Coordinator at ZooMontana. “The cleanup and raking projects at the Otter Habitat and Dell Nature Trail turned out great. Your team met the challenge and made for a more pleasant area for our guests and a more comfortable environment for our animals.”
ZooMontana expressed appreciation for Leavitt Great West’s contribution to maintaining the grounds of their AZA-accredited zoological and botanical garden, which cares for more than 100 animals representing 56 different species. As an accredited arboretum and educational facility, ZooMontana is dedicated to conservation and quality animal care, a mission made stronger through community partnerships like this one.
Why It Matters
Community involvement is more than a value at Leavitt Great West; it is part of our identity. We believe in being active participants in the places we call home, standing alongside local organizations that share our commitment to care, education, and stewardship.
“Volunteering at ZooMontana was a great reminder of what teamwork and community connection really look like,” said Holly Cremer, Commercial Account Executive, “Our people care deeply about making an impact, and this experience gave us the chance to do that together with purpose and heart.”
A Shared Commitment to Care
Like ZooMontana, our team values quality over quantity in how we serve clients, support one another, and give back to the communities we live in. Every volunteer hour, donation, and act of service contributes to a stronger, more connected Montana.
We are proud of our team for representing the Leavitt Great West spirit and for supporting an organization that brings so much value to our community.
“Thanks to support like yours, we are able to provide quality animal care while being one of the top cultural attractions in Billings,” wrote ZooMontana’s Volunteer Coordinator. “We truly believe that if we all work together, we can continue to expand our efforts for future generations.”
Looking Ahead
Our October Summit has always been a time for reflection, connection, and growth, and this year’s volunteer day reminded us that service is one of the best ways to build those bonds.
Thank you to everyone at ZooMontana for welcoming our team and for the incredible work you do every day to care for animals, educate guests, and protect wildlife across Montana.
Together, we are not just neighbors; we are teammates in building a stronger, more compassionate community.
