My name is Pete Shatwell, and I help employers build a benefits program that matches their organization's goals and objectives.
I’ve been in the employee benefits industry since 2003, when I founded my first employee wellness company. Our focus was on keeping employees healthy and happy. In 2013, I joined It Starts With Me Health where we focused on biometrics and clinical nurse management. I joined Leavitt Great West as an employee benefits agent in 2018.
Ensuring my clients know what they are purchasing is one of my main areas of focus. My team strives to answer questions in a timely matter and fix problems when they arise. I am engaged in all types of benefits with a focus on captives and partial self-funding. I am thorough and strive to make sure my clients understand their employee benefits.

I am a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and the Bozeman Chamber of Commerce. I serve on the Bozeman Blitz/Surf Soccer Club board and coach youth soccer and football.
I earned a Bachelor and Master of Science in exercise science from Montana State University.
I grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and moved to Montana in 1997. I married a Montana girl and we have two great, active kiddos. I enjoy the outdoors, including skiing and mountain biking.
