I have been with Griffin Owens since 1997, starting my career in the agency with the founders. I joined Griffin Owens because I liked how they approached business and the way they treated people. Our team believes in education and providing opportunities for their employees and clients. 

I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and in 1984 I joined the United States Marine Corps as an Enlisted infantryman. I attended college at SUNY Oswego and joined the ARMY ROTC in 1989, where I was commissioned as a 2^nd Lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers. Once I received my B.A., I went on to earn my Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) in 1996 and my Certified Risk Manager (CRM) in 2005. I retired from the Army Reserve in 2008 after 23 years of service.

As an account executive in our commercial insurance department, I focus on insurance in the technology, construction, and real estate industries. With my training, education in insurance, and experience as a small business owner, I have a deeper understanding of my client’s wants and needs.

Serving in the community and giving back to others is essential to me. I am on the board of several non-profits and our chamber of commerce, and I also serve as a Rotarian in our local rotary club.

My son and I love mountain biking and taking our dogs for walks along the jogging trails. Our favorite path is the Washington and Old Dominion trail. When we are not exploring the outdoors, we like to try fun restaurants. Our top choice is Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern and highly recommend the buffalo wings.
