Scott Puffenbarger

Scott Puffenbarger has spent his entire life in Virginia’s Piedmont region, and he brings that same sense of rootedness to the way he serves his clients. As a third-generation insurance agent, he understands how important it is to protect the things people work so hard for. After 25 years in the industry, he’s learned that insurance isn’t about paperwork, it’s about making sure a bad day doesn’t become a lasting setback.

He works with all kinds of clients, whether it’s a single policy or something more complex like a farm, estate, or life insurance plan. What people appreciate most is that Scott slows down the conversation, listens closely, and helps them find coverage that fits their real life.

Giving back is also part of who he is. Scott works with his agency to stay involved in local nonprofits and community organizations, especially those supporting public safety. When he’s not working, he’s usually with his family traveling, golfing, or exploring the small businesses that make their region special.

 His favorite quote is from Henry Ford: “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” It’s a reminder that preparation and mindset matter, in insurance and in life.
