I am sharing a heads-up about a webinar that the University of Vermont is hosting on Wednesday, October 4 at 1PM.
US representative Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) and Dan Newhouse (R-WA) introduced bipartisan legislation called the Agritourism Act, which would create an Office of Agritourism with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This act, if passed, would truly change how the U.S. Department of Agriculture views agritourism and its responsibility to help out agritourism farms.
The webinar is free but you must pre-register. Representative Wexton will be on hand to answer questions. The webinar will talk about what this legislation proposes and how we agritourism supporters can help get it passed.
