Before joining Stafford-Leavitt Insurance, I worked in the hospitality and restaurant industries for nearly 20 years, including owning and operating a portfolio of restaurants for nearly six years on both the franchisor and franchisee sides. In addition to being a business owner, I grew up around construction, my father owned a commercial plumbing company for nearly 35 years. Through this, I was able to learn about the construction trade and the importance of hard work.

I focus primarily on the hospitality, restaurant, and construction industries. With my broad range of experience, I understand the challenges of running a business and how insurance policies and coverages can work best for my clients. I take pride in educating each client and helping ensure their assets are protected.

I joined Leavitt Group because I was looking for a career that could help make an impact on others. During my time as a business owner, I didn’t understand insurance but knew that when I needed it, I didn’t have the coverage we were promised. After coming to Stafford Leavitt, I vowed I wouldn’t let my clients feel the same as I had and would do everything I could to give them what they needed and what we promised.

I am from the Kansas City area and graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Leadership. I’m still involved with the university and was a part of the Missouri State University Hospitality Leadership Board of Advisors for five years.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf with my buddies, following all Kansas City sports, taking weekend lake trips to the Ozarks, and trying new foods and restaurants. My favorite restaurants in the Kansas City area are Rye or Tavern. My wife and love the area we live in and are very involved in our community.
