I began my career as an acquisition and franchise developer for H&R Block responsible for the western region of the U.S. I've also owned and managed commercial real estate, including owning a full-service Mexican restaurant for 13 years. Later in my career, I saw an opportunity to join the Archibald Leavitt Group here in Eastern Idaho. It was a great opportunity to capitalize on my experience and to consult other business owners on risk management.
I graduated from Brighton High School in Sandy, Utah, and then attended the College of Eastern Utah where I was on the basketball team, which helped pay my tuition and fees. I then left for two years for Columbus, Ohio where I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Upon my return, I attended and graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in business – Go Utes! My wife, Janalyn, and I have four children whom we raised in Kaysville, Utah.
I enjoy spending my time in many ways, especially by being active in the community and supporting our local athletic programs. I am involved in the Kiwanis Club and the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce. I am a great listener and enjoy talking with my friends, family, coworkers, and clients. Between doing all these things, you can find me spending time with my wife and children.
