I graduated from Idaho State University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in business finance. Immediately after, I started working in the agriculture industry for one of the largest farms in Idaho. I worked for them for nearly a decade, performing accounting work, payroll processing, and some human resource duties.
I then accepted a position with a locally operated ag financing institution, where I worked for several years. It was here that I developed many long-lasting relationships with local farmers and ranchers in the southeast Idaho area. My position allowed me to primarily focus on customer service relations, processing loans, filing UCCs/mortgages with the Secretary of State, and much more.
In January of 2016, I started working for Archibald Leavitt Insurance as the crop insurance manager. While I had no insurance experience at the time, my prior work allowed me to easily transition from the finance sector of agriculture to the insurance sector.
I truly understand the daily ins and outs of farming and ranching operations. I understand the obstacles that farmers and ranchers are up against and the risks they face. With this knowledge, I'm well-equipped to advise our clients as it pertains to the best crop and ag-related insurance coverage out there.
I take pride in staying current on my continuing education as it pertains to crop and commercial insurance. I believe the secret to successful relationships and happy customers is engaging in constant communication, offering real solutions to real problems, being available, reliable, and accountable, and doing my job with integrity.

Community stewardship has helped me create a forever-lasting bond with the people in this area. For the last five years, I have served on the board of several not-for-profit organizations that provide Thanksgiving meals to over 1,000 local families in need every year, as well as much needed funding for a local no-kill animal shelter. In the past, I have also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and The Historical Home Society in Idaho Falls.
I was born and raised in Blackfoot, Idaho, and moved to Idaho Falls over 10 years ago, shortly before I married my husband. My husband has two grown children from a previous marriage, who are both married with their own children and living their best lives. We have five grandchildren, who range in age from 13 to 2. We also have four pups, who we adore and spend a great amount of time with.
I enjoy landscaping, gardening, interior design, and floral design. I'm also an animal lover and event planner, and love to travel and experience new cultures and food. My ideal day consists of working in the yard with my husband while enjoying great weather and playing with our dogs.
I recently heard the following quote, and currently, it's my favorite:
"I don't like that man. I must get to know him better." - Abraham Lincoln
It's so impactful and especially applicable to today's current social climate.
