Darien Schauf

I began my insurance career by starting my own insurance agency in 2014. After selling my agency in 2019, I relocated my family from Minnesota to Texas to start my career at Risk Services as a property and casualty broker and risk advisor.

I focus on middle market commercial business in various industries and offer solutions in traditional and alternative insurance markets. My business management degree and experience with running my own business help me understand my clients’ operations and provide unique insights for commercial insurance.

I approach insurance as an agent rather than a salesman, to be a proper steward and advisor for my clients in helping them understand trade-offs between coverage and price.

I was born and raised in Minnesota and graduated from University of Northwestern – St. Paul with a Bachelor of Science degree. My wife and I enjoy spending time with our two sons, which often includes music, learning, fishing, hiking, and outdoor activities.
