Service and community support come in different shapes and sizes. In this post we highlight three Leavitt Group agencies who have found unique ways to give back to their community. Here’s a brief glimpse of what they have been up to.

Flanigan-Leavitt Insurance

Flanigan-Leavitt Insurance (pictured above) recently served food during the Quincy Community Supper, a weekly free meal that feeds up to 190 individuals. This is the 14th year the agency has participated in the dinner. They also gave away candy during the Safe Trick-or-Treat events in Quincy and Susanville, treating over 1,000 children in each town.

Valerie Flanigan, co-owner of Flanigan-Leavitt Insurance, volunteers on the Plumas District Hospital Board of Directors. She is currently board chair and has served for 12 years.

Farmer Woods Group

Farmer Woods Group employees recently participated in the re-construction of the Arizona Recreation Center for the Handicapped’s (ARCH) disability-friendly playground. Team members Kacie Cancelli, Cody Luebke, Peggy Oshea, Maribeth Stencel, and Issac Thomas spent the day mixing concrete, raking, setting posts, and painting. Farmer Woods Group was honored to be a part of this community celebration that will bring so much happiness for years to come. The agency also provided financial assistance to feed volunteers during the seven hours they worked building the playground.

Sloan-Leavitt Insurance Agency

Sloan-Leavitt Insurance Agency employees recently volunteered at the local fire department helping to package Christmas baskets. This long-standing tradition in the community provides baskets filled with food and presents to local families in need.
