About Brenda
I graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Business Management and have over 25 years of human resources experience in service-related industries. I love being a human resource generalist because every day is new and exciting.
When I joined Griffin-Owens in 2005, my job entailed human resources, marketing, and assisting the owners. Because we have experienced significant growth, I now focus on human resources, agency appointments, licensing, and anything else involved in onboarding. Griffin-Owens has a wonderful reputation within the community and surrounding areas, and I am proud to be a part of our team.
I grew up in Virginia but moved around after getting married as my husband was in the military. My husband and I have been married for almost 40 years now and we are both avid golfers. I also enjoy gardening and going for long walks.
I have two personal mantras I try to live by: 1) Work smarter, not harder; and 2) Always do your best, no matter the job.
